Fold down seat stuck

I'm disassembling the inside of my 67. I pulled the seat base out then discovered my car has a fold down seat. Neat! First one I've had with a fold down. And it stuck. Made some sort of clicking noise when it hit bottom. Now the little tabs on the side hinges won't seem to move down the slots and I can't see any way to release whatever is holding them. Help!

Re: Fold down seat stuck

Miles, on my fold down rear seat the mechanism uses a clip near the top of the seat back but the hinges also have a clip built into them. My hinges were broken when I got my car so I ended up completely disassembling them and I'm working on making new rivets and rolling surfaces. See the pictures at the link below some of them are from when I was disassembling the hinge and the others are pictures I gathered for reference. Let me know if you want pictures of any more parts! My seat is currently disassembled but I'm planning to get it back working this Christmas break!
