Question Seat Track extenders

Are they only made for the drivers seat? Can I make the driver's seat extenders fit on the right seat?

I don't see right extenders listed by any vendors.

Re: Seat Track extenders

I bought some 1/4 steel at Lowes cut and drilled to fit. Bolted to the floor then the seat to the steel. Cost was less than $15. Made some going the other way for my short wife.

Re: Seat Track extenders

FWIW I installed them on my 67. I am 6'2" so needed the extra distance. Bought them from Rick's Camaro...and there was specific driver-passenger part #'s. Got them when they had the 20-40% discounts during Black Friday sale

Very easy to install. I used new, longer bolts and a 1/4" spacer for the rear as the extenders are flat stock and the floor pan has a hump in it

Also cleaned and lubed the seat sliders

Now the car "fits" me

If you can weld than buying some flat stock, drilling holes in the right place and welding on nuts for the new 2" extension rearward you would save some $

Re: Seat Track extenders

I made my own also from some flat steel I bought from Lowes. I used carriage bolts so they look a little more factory like. a little black spray paint and you'd have to know you're looking at non factory stuff..
Maybe 20-25 bucks total invested or something....
Made a big difference in comfort.

I was looking at these as well. I see Ricks are Black, some are natural steel. HBC has them on sale 43.00. Also on EBay. Most say 2 inches of extra room, EBay claims 4 inches.

I'm happy with mine. Made the TMI seats more comfortable. Mine came bare. I painted them with a spray bomb bed liner from harbor freight. The texture makes it blend in with the carpet.

Re: Seat Track extenders

I know this is an old thread but for someone doing a search, the extenders are side specific. They sell them for the driver and passenger side separately. I tried to install my 2" extenders from the driver side to the passenger side and they would not work.
