Console color

My car originally came with a console and gauges. The interior is "Bright Blue", the original console was replaced or repainted flat black. What would have been the correct color for the console from the factory? Any recommendations on where to get correct paint?

Re: Console color

I'm not real versed in the '67 but maybe this will get the conversation started. Is your carpet, steering wheel and headliner blue? If so, I believe the sides of the '67 console would be blue. I had a red '69 with red interior and it had red carpet, red headliner, red steering wheel and red console...

Re: Console color

Sides are the interior color, top is always black on a 67 console. Here's one place that lists paint codes, if you scroll down the webpage:

Also here's an old CRG thread that has links within posts, to websites with codes:

Re: Console color

I got a source from Legendary when I ordered my new upholstery from them for my 67 Camaro. Paint was not cheap but it appears to be correct color and shade. My car had gold interior and I wish I had known about this company prior to painting some of the other interior parts on my car. The company is Kolor Korrect in New Jersey at 217 South Adelaide Avenue Highland Park. 732-846-1044 , email [email protected]. Very responsive and friendly.
