Kick Panel Holes

I just ripped out my kick panels off my 68 with AC. I don't plan on putting the original AC unit back (will go with a vintage air later), but was wondering about the vent holes. Can I just seal the hols where the kick panels rested?

I will put the kick panels back, but cut the section that rests inside the hole, the section that prevents the water from coming in.

Re: Kick Panel Holes

I don't see why not if you going with the Vintage Air. You can cut a thin piece of metal in an oval slightly larger than the opening and use some seam sealer or gasket sealer of some sort.

Re: Kick Panel Holes

Go ahead and download the instructions for the vintage air kit. They tell you how to deal with everything.
