Child seats

Hi everyone,

My daughter is getting old and big enough to ride in a front-facing car seat, and I'd like to put one in the back of my 67 for her.

I tried fitting one, and it seems to fit, but I noticed it really digs into the seat leather and I'm worried that over time it will leave a permanent mark or crease in the leather.

Anyone have a car seat in the car for a while and noticed any corresponding additional wear on the seat?

Thanks!

Re: Child seats

Put a piece of foam under it. You can pick some up at a fabric store.

Re: Child seats

Thanks for the suggestions! Have been looking into them. Some reading I did since the post suggests that items placed under the car seat may make the car seat less effective. I don't plan to drive it on the freeway with her on board, but probably need to do a bit more research and testing before concluding what to do in that case.

Thanks for the tips!

Re: Child seats

There are pads that are specifically designed to be placed under child seats. They have a retaining flap that slides in the crevice between the seat and backrest. I can't imagine it makes the seat less safe. We got ours from the now defunct BabiesRus, but I'm sure you can still find them online.
