OER center dash panel, NEW, delaminated... WTF?

Ordered a new wood grain dash center console panel and when I got it the wood grain was delaminated away from the metal backing in several places. Have any of y'all had this issue? Seems I read something about this before

I got one for my 69 several years ago and it is fine. Are you able to send it back?

As a too late fyi you can get most anything OER from summit.

Not that big of deal to remove and re-"glue" it. I picked up an original F-bird bezel in nice condition and swapped the Camaro woodgrain. I don't recall what adhesive I used. I think a quality spray on upholstery adhesive should work. Spray each surface and let it tack before assembling. The surfaces should be scuffed for max adhesion. That's why your new part failed.

I also purchased a repro woodgrain dash panel. It was Classic Headquarters brand. The woodgrain was held on by two sided tape and was coming apart right out of the box also. Very poor quality. The woodgrain pattern on the repros is not even close to my original. I only needed the chrome part, as my original had a crease in it. I removed my original woodgrain and used contact cement & clamps to install on the repro chrome plate. I let dry overnight and is held on good.
