67 Camaro door glass help

Working on the glass for my 67. It seems fairly tight when I roll it up, especially when it gets closer to the top it even tries to raise the vent window up. It looks like the glass in the vent channel is really tight toward the outside of the car, it digs into the vent weather strip. No matter the adjustment I make has no effect. The part on the window sash channel that glides in the vent window channel is straight, would it help to bend it a little to the contour of the vent window? I've watched all the youtube video's but haven't seen how diagnose a tight window.

Re: 67 Camaro door glass help

It shouldn't be necessary to bend that piece and I doubt you can. Have you changed anything
such as the vent window channel run felt, vent window frame, glass, etc.? Here's a couple of
pics of a drivers window and rear track I sold a while back. They might help you.

Re: 67 Camaro door glass help

Thanks for the pictures. They are new vent window frames and felt, all new glass from Pilkington. Made some adjustments last night and seemed too have gotten a little better. Still a little tight but better.

Re: 67 Camaro door glass help

Is the glass new?

I bought all my glass from Metropartsmarket.com because I wanted smoked glass. Had all kinds of issues to find out that the glass had too much of a curve. Could not return it, had it for almost a year before I fit it

'68 Camaro with RS conversion
Moser 9" with 4:11
Martz Chassis 4-link and Front Sub-frame
Tremec T-56 Magnum 6 speed
572 BB - CM Engines
Wilwood 6 piston front and 4 piston rear disc
