bucket seat lock latch plate issue

ANYONE HAVE ANY INCITE AS TO (OOPS) install a new bucket seatback lock latch plate? I have new seat covers installed, and can't feel where the bolt hole is through the seat cover. Don't want to go nuts pucking ice pick holes in the new seat cover.
Failure to plan ahead I guess

Re: bucket seat lock latch plate issue

I happen to have the latch base off on my 67. Here's a pic that might help.

Re: bucket seat lock latch plate issue

Use a sewing pin to locate bolt/screw holes.
