Preferred door seals?

Hi All, I'd like to see if there's a consensus on preferred door seals. I learned there's big difference in options a while back when my trunk would not close.

I need all the seals and felts, including the trim piece that holds the felts. Who should I look at?

Also would like to know what people are using to seal the glass weatherstrip channels to the body. What is working best?

I apologize if I did not get these questions into the correct forum, this seemed more appropriate than Body Shop -

Thanks!

Eric

The Repops window felts/trim (round) are what I used. Fit well

Re: Preferred door seals?

I used a combination of Soffseal and Metro. I can't remember the name of the felts but I do know all but one fit very well.

Thanks for the advice - Does anyone have a recommendation one what to use to seal the weatherstrip channels to the top of the window frames?

What goes in this sandwich?

Re: Preferred door seals?

Metro for door and glass seals. Do not use Soffseal or you will not be able to close the door.

PUI for felts.

Has anyone used this material for the channel to body seal? Is there something else I should look at?

Re: Preferred door seals?

I used Metro for weather strip and Repops for the felt on my 67.
Here's a link to a discussion on the material used.

Thanks everyone, very, very helpful. Especially the part about adjusting the channel to the glass instead of the other way around.

Re: Preferred door seals?

PUI for window felts. Last I talked to one of the Camaro vendors, the soft seal has been redesigned so I tried them and the fit fine, not like the ones you had to slam the door. I generally use Metro but they were on back order at the time.

I have not - I used the 3M strip caulk.
