Correct staples and stapler for 1969 Camaro dash glove box liner

Hi gang:

I picked up a NOS GM glovebox liner to replace the original in a restoration project that clearly served as a bathroom for mice for many years. What is a good approximation for the staples used to assemble the cardboard liner? It seems an everyday office stapler would be too flimsy.

Also, should this be flocked? The original isn't, but who knows what 50 years and lots of mouse pee did to it...

Thanks!

You'd have to check the dimensions of Arrow or competitor staples that are used in the contractor industry. Is there a reason an aftermarket liner is not suitable for this application? https://www.camarocentral.com/1967_1..._p/das-342.htm

I have a semi-fanatical desire to keep the car as close to all-GM as possible. Plus, I don't want to fight with ill-fitting repop stuff.

I was able to fold the glovebox liner into nearly the correct configuration and hold it with a series of binder clips. I'll give it some time to "set" into the new shape before stapling.

Perhaps a heavy-duty office stapler or plier stapler like this would work? https://www.staples.com/ARROW-FASTEN...roduct_1456133
