Everyone I talk to at auto parts stores are telling me the fuel sending units are no longer available for a 69 Camaro....I'm installing a new gas tank (because of rust) and I wanna change the sending unit.
any suggestion?

Most of the major camaro resto catalogs will have them. Classic industries, Paddock, Rick's, to name a few. Looks like they cost about $100.00 Erik

Question

It'll matter which engine/carb combo you have also, correct?

The replacement sender that was in my '69 has the 3/8" and the 1/4" return, which if I'm not mistaken is for engines with a Qjet. I've seen different types of senders listed in Ricks, Camaro Spec., GroundUp, etc....

I found a sending unit from a place by me called Heartbeat city. They have a whole lot of first gen. car parts.
As far as my local Chevy dealer, none of them stocked it....thanks for your help guys!

I have got them from local chev dealer for 69 Z a 67 327 and my 68 396 and Chevelle 396 in last two years. You might need a better dealer or parts man. They have always been less money than other venders too, but the chev parts man a deal with is a CAR guy that helps a lot.
