Does anyone know if you can rebuild a first generation convertible cylinder?

Are there kits out there?

Mine is leaking but they cost so much to replace.

I ahd a '67 Chevelle with leaking cylinders....could not find a rebuild kit and if you look, the cylinders are "sealed" you would have to cut them open. Pull a cylinder and go the the bone yard. Many cylinders were used on GM's.
Good Luck

I had a set that leaked. I took them to a hydraulics place and the guy put in some new seals and only charged me like $5 and they worked great after that. I think the only thing you can do is put new seals in where the lines go into them. They are a sealed unit that would have to be cut open.
