Guys, possible to get a 69 Rally Sport with the 350/300 hp engine? If so, would it have the same features as a SS i.e.; 12 bolt, rear exhaust bracket, valve under drivers seat, 5 leaf springs, etc? Thanks.

What you are describing by the prop valve, 5 leafs, etc. is an SS. This was a hi perf engine option. The rally sport was a separate trim level option with the hide-away headlights and bright trim accents.

You could buy an RS only, SS only, or RS/SS optioned car.

This is what I have. 69 8 cylinder, HB code engine, TH350 trans, 10 bolt non posi single leaf rearend.

HB = 1969 350/300hp with a 4 barrel carb and manual trans for a Chevelle, El Camino, Camaro, or Nova. Is the parial VIN stamped on the block to verify that it matches the car's VIN?

Danzo, SS350 engines were HA(Muncie), HB(th350) or HE(powerglide). if you had an SS with a powerglide, a 10 bolt might have been subsituted. You need to look at the rest of the numbers on your car to determine if it's a real SS or the engine and trans were transplanted. Easiest is the X code on the trim tag. 2nd easist is to find the VIN on the engine located vertically on the block by the oil filter and trans mount. If the engine VIN matches the car, maybe the rear was changed. Look at the rear's STAMPED numbers on the axle tube and have them decoded along with your trim and engine numbers in the TAG Team section.

You probably have an RS/SS..yes, it must have an X-11 code if it were an RS, but if it does it doesn't mean it's an SS. Heres a quick, not 100% reliable but maybe 85% way to tell an SS car...All SS's in 67, 68 and 69 had duel exhaust, right? Ok, it could be ordered on any V-8 but not real common..right? so..... Look at the unibody frame rail on the LH side...this especially works on 69's.. Ther MUST be a heavy metal plate welded in the frame around the inside of the tire. This was used for the exh. hanger..If it has this, it's a good sign it's an SS.....About 69 Camaro 350's...prior to 1/1/69, 350 equipt Camaros were ALL 4 BBLS, had the large fuel filter, and chrome air cleaner lids...they looked like SS's! RPO was LM1...it was rated at 255HP...A rare car! Also, the TH350 trans didnt come out until after 1/1/69 so all automatics with LM1 were PGs!!!!! Last thingcars built before. to 1/1/69 didnt have X codes.
