I am wondering how to tell if an engine is a 350 by looking at it. Does it have any distinguishing features that would let you identify one by sight? I am going to look at a 68 rs and I want to make sure it has a 350 like the owner says and not a 327 or some other engine. Thanks for the help.

If the 68 rs has a 350 it's can't be the correct engine.Unless it's also an SS. Anyway what's wrong with the 327??? It's a great engine, especially if it's of the large journal variety (67-69)

They have told me that the engine is a new crate 350 engine so I know that it is not the orginal. I would prefer a 350 just for the added power (or maybe just for the fact that it is bigger than the 327). I do realize that a 327 would have more than enough power for daily driving though. Thanks

Who wants just enough engine power? 350 or death! LOL

Magic, thats the true power behind an engine...
