Is the car fully running?
Or is it kinda like put put put put sounding.

If it is the latter, it is "dieseling"

It is from gas entering the cylinders and the pistons compressing the gas and the heat ignites it.
If you increase your fuel octane a couple points it should stop it, or adjusting your fuel system and ignition systems and giving the car a tune up.

Check the timing, see if its too advanced, Be sure you're idle speed is not too high, Make sure you're not running it hot. These can cause it. As Joshua Leslie said, upping the octane may help.
