Heres the thing just got great deal--454-rollerrocks, billet valvecovers, doublepumper, edelbrockrpm, hookerheader s,7qt milodon, msd dist.6AL,wires, starter, pulleys waterpump.... real thick heavy duty edelbrock timing cover, all ARP, stall conv. 350 turbo, chrome pan, shiftkit, flexplate, holley electric fuel pump, was running everthing looks pretty new, ran really good, sounded like it had a big cam.
got it all for only 1500, what a deal! Having problems looking up holley code-4781-6 ( OR G) double pumper, mech secondaries, electric choke, four corner idle. Also block codes are T0320XAA and 14D15446 any ideas, says 7.4 on the side-454 is this a 4th gen. block? is it a good block? how do i identify heads? any help is great, this is my first big block.

Cool

That is a steal, but did you hear it run?

Holley 4781 = 850 CFM mech secondaries, double pumper, with a primary metering block swapped for the rear OE block for idle adjustment. Power valve hole will have a plug vs. another power valve.

Gen IV block if block is void of fuel pump mounting boss.

Pull valve covers and read off casting code(s) for the Tag Team.

Sounds tooo good to be true.....

Yes I heard it run, it sounded really good, ran a little rough though because of cam and solid motor mounts, but it ran real good and hard. I looked up the same carb number you did but that was a 4781 - C not a -6 and that carb didn't have an electric choke mine does, block does have a fuel pump boss. I thought it was the fifth or sixth gens didn't have the boss??

Cool

From the Holley Carb Numerical Listings I have:

0-4781-6 is the same as any other except for:
Primary block P/N is 34R11799APQ withPower Valve 125-65. Secondary block is P/N 34R9109-3AMPQ with Power Valve 125-65.

Squitters are .031 for both, Throttle body & shaft assy is P/N 12R11153AP.

My '88 Chev Truck has a BBC and no fuel mtg boss. I thought Gen V came later, '90?

Your right about the heads. ALmost all big block heads and most big blocks say hi-perf on them somewhere. Sounds like a good deal. How many beers did you feed the guy?
