Hello guys/gals,

I need some info on roots blowers. Is it possible to install, i.e. a Weiand 177, on a '67/'68 350 WITHOUT the scoop stickin out of the hood!?
Would it be possible when you don't put scoop on the carbs, just an airfilter and with a cowl-hood. But will I then get enough cold air into the rootsblower, or do I need a smaller rootsblower?? And will I loose some power because air is not rammed into the carb?
Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas how to do this?
(I'm only a few k away from a camaro, but I just want to know if it is possible, because scoops are illegal here, so.....)

Thanx, David

Yes, they will clear on a small block with a cowl hood. A friend has a B&M unit on his 69 with everything under the stock cowl hood.

Thanx alot Jody, but has your friend got the scope under his hood, or does he has no scoop at all?

He doesn't run a scoop. He has an air filter on top of the carb (single carb set-up).
