What is the difference as far as looks go on the shifter mounting braket for a BB muncie with console verses a small block braket for a 69 camaro

The bb shifter mounting bracket has distinct mounting pads extending from the plate. Plate & rods including lower lock are '69 bb only.
Despite what you may have heard a console makes no difference.

William Can you look at item 597714793 on e bay and tell if this is Big Block Thanks or anybody else that might know

Ebay shifter looks aftermarket to me.

It is a after market Hurst shifter. but does the mount look like it for BB use. Does anyone have one of these in their bb 69 camaro that knows what they look like?

The thing on eBay isn't even close to what the factory bracket looks like; the one you're after is P/N 3955772, shown in the '69 A.I.M. in Section M20, Sheet A3, View "A".
