I've got it. How do I get rid of it?
My McAfee won't detect it. I haven't updated lately.
Thanks, Guy

Not 100% certain how to get rid of it at this point in time. My McAfee did not detect it either. I do plan on tracking this down, because it is a pain in the rear!!!
Go to www3.ca.com/Virus/Virus.asp?ID=10579
This is a Computer Associates site, all the info. on the virus is there.
Good Luck............Ken

Here's a link to the Symantec (Norton Anti-Virus) site that explains it and tells how to kill it:
http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/[email protected]

Nasty one - easy to spot, though, as it comes as a file attachment to an e-mail with a double file extension (like xxx.doc.pif, for example) - instant tipoff that it's an infected file. Just delete the e-mail without opening/downloading the attachment. I got one yesterday morning and deleted it.

Hey all, This is an issue that I should be able to lend a hand with...!
For those of you using McAfee products please use the following URL
http://vil.mcafee.com/dispVirus.asp?virus_k=99069&

This will provide you folks with more than anyone wants to know about this virus and how to manually remove it.
Good luck and let me know if you need more information.

i got two e-mails at each one of my adddresses from people i dont know, and one from my dads e-mail addey. funny thing is that my dads e-mail hasnt heen active for a year. there was no message, just an atachment with an mp3 file.i have norton antivirus, and it wouldnt let me open the file. good thing. people that have nothing better to do with their time than make computer viruses should be shot (well not literally, but you get the idea), man those people suck!!!
