When did the third brake light get moved from the top of the rear window glass, to the rear edge of the hatchback ? I'm assuming a 1986 should have it on the glass, and a 1989 should have it on the rear edge of the lid, above the license plate. Correct ?

The third brake light started as a mandatory safety item in 1986 on all cars. Not sure when they moved it from the window to spoiler on a Camaro though.
