This is really ***backwards.....The speed limit in the Houston area is going from 70 to 55 early next year.
What am i going to do now?
Has anyone else experienced this in their home town?

Thumbs down

We just went through the same thing here in Dallas, something to do with smog laws..... The speed limit dropped from 70 to 60 on most interstate highways, I think it sucks too, but whatcha gonna do, move? Grin and bear it......KZ

here in idaho the limit is 65, i think they want to lower it. everyone still does 85 though, they tailgate, they mess with the radio..... these people are just awful drivers, no wonder they want to lower the limit.

You haven't seen awful drivers until you've driven in Rhode Island.I live right on the border,so I'm in RI frequently.I swear, the first thing they do when they buy a car is rip off the directional lever!!!

From what I have the seen a speed limit of 55 MPH is very typical of urban areas with 75 MPH outside of the city limits. That's the way it is here in Colorado.
