Question

I'm new to Camaros so I don't know too much. I just bought a Berlinetta, the guy I bought it from said it was a '77 but I'm not too sure. I've looked all over the net for specs, but I can't find a '77 Berlinetta. Can anyone help me out here?

Info about the car is located on: http://www.nastyz28.com
look specifically at 1977 and/or 1979.

The berlinetta camaro debuted in 1979. If the car is a 1977 model it's not a berlinetta.

I thought so. Basically chances are its a '79 then, cause it does say berlinetta all over the car. Hmm. Well thanks for clearing that up.

The title says Berlinetta but there is no tune up sticker or manual. This guy did not take care of it. I mean, it's in bad shape. Road map windshield, cracked fin, electrical tape on the front, a huge gash in the passenger side fender...its fabulous really. I couldn't see a car like that, I just had to restore it, you know?

a 77 has the aluminum front and rear bumpers. 78-81 has the "soft" front and back end. if they're not matching with the model year on your title you might have the beginnings of a major problem.

Some guys might consider it a necessary part of the deal to check the VIN and title and year and other "minor" items like that so they have some idea of what they're buying. Some ....... maybe not. I'll have to look around - I may have a few things to sell you. Just trust me.
