I have a 67 Camaro with a 327 and i have a stainless steel 2 1/2" exhaust system with turbo mufflers (that blew the seams) and i am looking for an exhaust system that rumps. I want the car to be loud but standable, you know, the kind where the people 3 blocks away can hear me coming or starting my car at 6am. Should i go with the Flowmaster kit or should i make my own system with Flowmaster mufflers? What's the diff. between one chamber and 2 and so on? Any help would be appreciated.

One chamber is loudest, two chamber loud (and the most common), 3 chamber is a little quiter.

Keep your 2-1/2" stainless steel system and replace only the mufflers. I used 40 series (two chambers) Flowmasters and I'm pleased with the results.
