Greetings all,
My Camaro is currently Candy Apple Red which turned out too Maroon for my liking. I want a deep red--like blood red, (not too orange and not maroon) So far "Bolero Red" from 1967 looks like it might be close. Anyone know any other deep non-metallic Reds I could consider?

Thanks!

Thanks John, that looks pretty good, seems
to be close to Bolero.....I wonder if Bolero
was renamed Matador for 1968?

I did a 69 GTO in 78 Corvette Red over a Pearl White Base. It got alot of blues attention.

Damn Milli Miglia! I have a picture in a
Corvette book of a 1972 done in that color
and it looks outstanding. Glad you mentioned
it or I would never have remembered that color

Cool

Carnival Red. 'Course I am biased to 57 Plymouth colors! Vibrant red, but not glaring. Very deep and rich.

Garnet Red from a 69 looks good.
Or go to the paint store and look at the samples.

Try the red from a 1988 Chrysler Conquest TSI and I bet it will be your perfect match of what your looking for. I own that car and it has the perfect shade of red and exactly what your explaining. I think the code is PR2 Bright Red. I think you'll like it.

Wow thanks for the suggestions everyone!
Ochrisl--I do recall seeing a nice red on a
newer Audi, I'll check it out. Red Rocker--
you know I have a picture of a Mille Miglia
Vette in a book and it looks Blood Red....but
when I search the net for cars that color
they all appear more Orange than my picture.
I now think that picture just looks deep red
due to the lighting, thnaks for mentioning the Orange effect. I'll also check the TSI and Honda Red out. And of course the standard
Camaro Bolero Red already mentioned.

Once again thanks everyone!
