I need help! Tomorrow I will be buying a 1968 RS. At least I think it is a RS. As everyone knows you can't really tell anything off of the trim tag. It has 12 bolt posi and a 4-speed. The guy says it came with all of this, but I don't know. If the guy said it did then I believe him. The guy is really cool and has not lied to me yet. The other cool thing is that he lives right up my street. My question it that did tachometers come with all 4-speed cars or were they just an option and come only if you order them. The other thing is that do you guys know if there is anyway to find the build sheets anywhere for your camaro from the Vin number. Like, is it possible to contact GM, give them your vin number and they could tell you all of the options of your car?

Thank you for everybody's help!!!

Unless it's a canadan car you won't be able to get a build sheet. If it is a LA car the build sheets are usually above the gas tank. While most owners won't let you drop the tank, it will be something to look foward to when you get the car home

Tachs were an option, not with all 4-speeds.

Those build sheets could also be hidden under the rear seat, stuffed in the seat springs, behind the door panels, and between the roof/headliner. Happy hunting.
