Any of you ever buy a donor car from copart? One of my friends got a donor for his FF cobra kit that way and it worked out real well. There seem to be a bunch of horror stories around though. I have signed up with them, seen their impressive fee schedule, and have decided to watch the 2 yards I can drive to. I don't have to go the licensing route here. I am not concerned with one I can see and pick up. I don't know how comfortable to be with the ones I can't. I searched here and saw some variations on the horror stories but I'm not looking for "the car", just a wreck.

67RSSS......owned since 69. A basket case for most of it.

Re: Copart

I can't say to how they work...But maybe an option would be to check out an auction ?

There is an auction in Bel Air every week open to the public. They sell wrecks to off lease cars/trucks.
Not saying it's the cheapest, I know there's no warranty, and some "wrecks" can go for more money than you would think. Maybe there's one closer to you also ?

But worth a look if it gets too hard
