Need Help with LS3 Conversion Steering Hose

I'm having a hard time finding a pressure hose for my LS3conversion into a 68 Camaro. I have a LS3 crate engine with the standardcorvette accessory package (non AC). Here is a link to the JEGs site withthe package I have.

http://www.jegs.com/i/Chevrolet-Performance/809/19257325/10002/-1

The kits says that the pump is GM part #15261472 which was standard for most C6 corvettes. My power steering box was an aftermarketone from Camaro Central (http://www.camarocentral.com/product_p/pow-58.htm)which was for a big block that I had in before the conversion.

I'm trying to find a pressure hose that will connect to theLS3 steering pump and be able to be modified on the other end to fit into my existingpump. The stock hoses for the corvette do not work as they are solidlines that are fitted to work with the corvette steering rack.

Anybody else already cross this path with their conversionsand have some ideas to help me out? I tried these hoses from JEGs butthey did not work.

http://www.jegs.com/i/Borgeson/153/925103/10002/-1

Thanks,
Steve

You can use this adapter to let you use a hose with an AN fitting.

Re: Need Help with LS3 Conversion Steering Hose

I had one made at a local shop that crimped hoses. Told them what ends and used my old hose as mock up. Perfect fit and no adapters to deal with.

Find a hydraulic shop in your area.

Re: Need Help with LS3 Conversion Steering Hose

I made my own high pressure P/S hose using XRP products. They have a variety of fittings to work for various applications.

Re: Need Help with LS3 Conversion Steering Hose

I am running this fitting https://www.detroitspeed.com/Steerin...t-fitting.html with my C5 pump without any issues. I second the recommendation that Chad has with the XRP lines. DSE also sells a hose kit https://www.detroitspeed.com/Steerin...hose-kits.html if you want one stop shopping. I originally used the DSE low pressure line but had issues the first time I tried to remove the braided line from the PS reservoir. The outer braid separated from the inner rubber. I would build a new hose using the XRP (or there are a couple of other brands that do the same thing) for the high pressure and the factory one or the low pressure side if you are using a stock style PS box.

This fitting get the connection outside the pulley and avoids potential interference at the an connection.
