Finally...it's done

I have not posted in a while, but I finally finished the conversation. It took about 2 years to accumulate the parts and about 3 months to complete the project. Went with a 02 motor out of a truck mated to a 4L60e. Gave it a valve job, put in a new Comp Cam, lifters, etc. Went with a hydroboost boost breaking system, and custom made sub-frame connectors. Installed Dakota Digital gauges. I ran into problems trying to save a buck with a cheap oil pan and throttle body. They ended up having to be replaced with the top of the line parts. It has a stand-alone computer from CBM Motor Sports.

The performance of this motor and how it responds is completely nigh and day from what we are used to. Just an amazing difference.

Here are a few pics...

Re: Finally...it's done

Wow Ty that is some amazing work! You did a long wait to get this over with so it's nice to see it finally done, and the end result is so well executed. The little hints of red in the engine bay and gauges complement the colour of your car and that engine bay is so well organized.

Love the Camaro badge where the wiper motor should be

Re: Finally...it's done

Hey John, Vega$69

When I bought the computer from CBM Motorsports, I told them all the factors about the motor so they programed a computer based on that. Then when we were done with the build, we trailed it over to their shop because I could not get the car idle properly. I had a cheap 100.00 TB. We swamped that out and then they put it on the dyno.

Thanks for you all your help by the way. I know I asked you a ton of Qs along the way.
