Ls2 l76 ?

What do you guys think of an L76 engine with a Ligenfelter GT11 cam in it ? A guy, somewhat local to me has one and claims 460 hp. Heads have been shaved to bump CR to 10.8. Stock bottom end other than arp rod bolts. 30,000 miles on bottom end. (so he says) Top end all new. 4500. I was starting to think 6950 for a new LS3 or 4500 for a slightly used LS2 LOL. Save some coin, maybe save 2500.

Re: Ls2 l76 ?

If resale is any concern I have noticed that LS2 swaps don't seem to bring good money compared to the LS3 variants. They seem tough to sell. You are also looking at the cost of a custom tune, probably dyno tune. And no warranty.

Re: Ls2 l76 ?

Used LS2 is not worth $4500.

LS3/430 is 6500 with free ship. 50,000 /24 month warranty

That's different.

Is it complete?

Injectors?
Fuel Rails?
Plugs and Wires?
Coils?
Cam and Crank Sensors?
Balancer?
Intake? Which one?

Re: Ls2 l76 ?

That sounds like a fair price for a complete motor. No accessories?

Re: Ls2 l76 ?

I do not think there is a clear way to tell mileage. That is why every junk yard is full of 50,000 mile 5.3 blocks. You can compare that cam to the specs that come in the crate motor and it should give you an idea on its behavior.
