67 LS3 swap. Holley accessory issues

So bare with me as I try to explain. Finally got my LS3 installed in my car yesterday. Used Holley's motor mounts. Oil pan. Headers. And crossmember. Surprising the process of putting it in was very easy. Everything fit as suggested.

Now the finish coating on the hooker headers now that is something for another day. For one I waited over a month and a half to get them. And the finish is so bad. Anyone have any experience with this?

Now for the bad news. I put on the accessories late last night. The sanden compressor has the ports out the side. But the damn bracket is so wide that there is no way I can get the AC fittings on the side. They run right into the inner fender. The whole reason for going with this setup was ease of install and the fact I am running all heater and ac lines through the inner fender. So I wanted the compressor port out the side.

This is all I have for photos right now but can take more today. It was late last night. Anyone else running the holley accessories that can give some guidance? Needless to say I am not to happy. Just wondering if I have some wrong part numbers or something

Re: 67 LS3 swap. Holley accessory issues

All swaps I've done with AC have run hoses through the inner fender and all have used 508 compressors with ports on the top.

So I ordered the kit from holley for the 67. Did you have to specify where you wanted the ports? Seems this is the one that came with their accessory drive kit. Any pics of how you did the routing etc?

Wow, The Holley kit sure seems to swing that compressor out towards the passenger fender. Are there other A/C brackets you could use to bring it back towards the drivers side ??

I was thinking the same thing. I think it's the only one. I have the same issue only the other side with the alternator to power steering pump. It looks like it's going to hit control arm with the belt but not 100% sure yet. I am not sure if they have different brackets. But I believe they are all the same. But could be wrong of course. Just was wondering if others ran into same issues.

No experience with the AC stuff. What's the problem with the headers? I used the LT's with the silver ceramic type coating. I was pleased with it.

Ok you have the kit with the SD7 compressor. I would switch it out to the 508 as shown in this kit.

I'll get some install pick up this am

I see there is also a Holley kit 20-136 which uses a R4 compressor. https://www.holley.com/products/acce...s/parts/20-136

On headers its like it has a bunch of "overspray" all over them. I realize its not overspray but its that type of look. Its almost white and chalky. Looks terrible in my opinion for all the money I spent on them. May give them a call about them. Wondering if because they were on backorder they rushed to get them out.

Thanks Vegas. So with the 508 are you just using a 180 fitting to turn the hose back down around the bottom and to the front of the inner fender.

With that other part link that you sent from Summit. What exactly does that do?? I just love the smaller compressor I really dont want to have to switch it to the older style either.

Thanks John. Looks like I may have to call and beg to see if they will swap it for me I guess I am not sure what else to do but to swap it. The 90 degree AC fittings with the port on then are really large. With the current setup the way it is there is now way its going to fit in there.
