Hooker blackheart exhaust

Anyone else done the Hooker/Holley LS swap system? I'm putting in my Hooker 3" exhaust and can't figure out the instructions on the rear exhaust hangers. The instructions are as clear as mud. Pics would be awesome. Thanks!

Re: Hooker blackheart exhaust

I remember I had a hell of a time figuring it out myself, I'll try to remember to take a picture tonight and post it for you since my exhaust is currently out of the way. I think its barb lower than the mounting point and toward the inside of the vehicle.

Re: Hooker blackheart exhaust

So here is how it is installed in my car driver side then passenger. I had it backwards from what I described.

Re: Hooker blackheart exhaust

Thank you for the pics but, I have those seatbelt brackets figured out.. Its the bracket to the rear along the frame rail that has me baffled. I just upgraded my membership so I can add photos again.

Re: Hooker blackheart exhaust

Bracket bolts to frame rail and rubber mount spans between the rod on the tailpipe and the bracket. Rubber piece bolts to bracket.

Re: Hooker blackheart exhaust

I kind of figured that but the instructions don't say that at all. They want me to use the exsisting holes in the frame rail to mount that bracket to. That's impossible and I have a feeling I'm going to have to drill holes.

How was the fit between springs and quarters ?

I have a 3" kit in garage (flowmaster 1050) but no hangers or clamps with it.

I didn't see or have had any problems with the clearances there but I remember seeing that one of the barbs would be close to the tire, didn't end up having any issues though

Re: Hooker blackheart exhaust

Had about 3/4" on either side of the pipe. Plenty of room.
