broke piece off of ls3 intake

i think its the egr not sure but while i was installing motor one of the chains from the hoist snapped a port that is located behind the throttle body on the drivers side.

do i need this part and need a new intake?
or can i epoxy the hole closed and call it a day?

You donít need it. Itís the evap solenoid. Epoxy it up.

I think any two part epoxy that is thick enough it wonít fall in the hole should work. Temperatures are not extreme.

Im thinking of roughing it up and taking throttle body off to see if i can get behind it too

Anyone know what type of plastic it is?

I can use 3m plastic repair

Seen where guys used a soldering iron to "weld" up cracks and holes in plastic intakes

Just get a tap & put in a small allen head screw with a dab of loctite.
