Engine gauge adapters

Can anyone help me with the adapters I need to use my Speedhut sending units . The water temp and oil pressure are both 1/8 - 27 npt. I am assuming there is a metric to npt adapter for each but not sure of the metric thread size.

Thanks in advance.

The only reason someone would want insurance is if they want to pay someone elses bills or want someone else to pay their bills.

Re: Engine gauge adapters

Are you sure you need a metric fitting and not just a NPT bushing? Something like a 1/4 or 3/8 npt to 1/8 NPT?

Where are you putting the sending units into?

Also, the temp sending unit page you provide shows a link to "adapters available", right above the price. Clicking on that gets you metric to npt and npt bushings among other combo's.

I wasn't sure which of those I would need for an LS3 and they don't really spell it out. At $10 or $15 a pop I didn't want to guess. They are clear in their description what sender it works with but not if it fits my engine. Probably something I should know but I've never worked with an LS.

Re: Engine gauge adapters

dont spend $50 on something that could be had for about $15

given that your temp gauge already came with its own sender

Hopefully they’re 1/8 NPT because it doesn’t seem to state they are. At least my senile mind couldn’t find the size...

I was referring to the sender side since there are a few different thread sizes used on gauge senders. Why they don’t specify the thread sizes is a mystery to me.
