I'm almost certain I need a new radiator. I live in Phoenix and I'm wondering if the aluminum 2-1" cores would be fine or should I get the 2-1 1/4" cores?
I've been looking at the universal fit ones because it's a huge savings (and I don't have $600). I'm sure just about any welder could weld on some brackets to it right?

Also is there supposed to be a rubber bushing or something inbetween the radiator and radiator support?

The size spec.s on any radiator will be determined by you engine size, modifications cooling fan type and location etc...
Check with a radiator shop or explore one of the on-lne sites with you spec.s and see what size requirements you need.
Yes, the radiator will need to be isolated from the radiator support by some type of rubber mount bushings to allow for heat growth and vibration insulation. Lots of different mount types are available, but I would stick with something close to stock.
