I will not be able to use the existing shifter placement, for my B&M megashifter. What is the best way to cover the existing hole? Also I think I will ditch the Nuetral safety switch, the car was origionally a 6 banger with 3 speed.I have a 400 SB with a TH350 in it, any reason to keep it?

What I did was to take a piece of sheetmetal 1 inch larger than the shifter hole and rivet it into place with some silicon sandwhiched between it and the floor.
As far as the nuetral safety switch goes "Keep It" it is a cheap safety device, I had a friend run over because someone removed it from the start circuit and he was infront of the car when they started it in gear.
I used a 35 amp relay wired with the micro switch on the shifter to complete the starting cicuit as the micro switch cannot handle the current load of the start circuit by itself.

67 CAMARO R/S CLONE, 355/turbo 350, 200hp NOS,12 bolt,etc...

You didn,t mention the year of the car you are trying to put the shifter in but B&M's instruction sheet should give all the details including the wireing diagram for the neutral safety switch. I have an 88 and everything went perfect and looks factory Thanks to B&M!
