I see that they changed the hood in 1977 on the firebird, but did they change the t/a front fenders? I am not sure if they are interchangeable. Also, will a 1973-1976 shaker hood scoop fit on a 1977-1979 t/a without any modifications? & is the air cleaner for any t/a 1970-1979 the same? (maybe not if the t.a has a 403 olds?)
And did any t/a (maybe california bound)from 1977-1979 come with an optional chevy 350 engine? If so, the air cleaner has got to be different than the tin indian one for the shaker? Does anyone reproduce a/the 2nd gen t/a air cleaner(s)?

I have seen a bunch of '77-79 'birds with factory 350's and 305's in them. None with the chevy engine and shaker hood though.

The same fenders were used from 1970 to 1981. There were some small variations, but any of them will work.

Not sure on the hood, but I suspect it's the same hood for all years.

I have read that some Firebirds came with Chevy 350s, but I don't think that engine was available in the T/A. However, anything is possible as far as California is concerned.

You might try Year One's web site. I think they have an online catalog. You might be able to answer your questions by looking thru the catalog.

Yes this is correct.

No,the hoods are from 70 to 76 and 77 to 81

Yes the 350 and 305 were offered in Canada in 1980 and in the U.S. in 81 for the Trans Am in the other hand regular Firebirds and Formulas started getting chevy mills 305/350 starting in 1977.
The 350 was the same engine the Z-28 of the same years got.

Hohnmilner, 70 to 76 shakers will fit on later cars but look funny and awkward also after some time the shaker will have rub marks cause it does not sit properly.
