Is the screen on the outside of original air filter elements diamond-shaped wire screen, or expanded metal? I know the replacements are the latter.
Thanks,

The same A212CW element was used in many Corvettes; from 1965-70, they had bias-cut mesh (not expanded metal), and from late 1970-72 they had horizontal/vertical cut square mesh. Camaros should be the same, as all AC A212CW production elements came from the same place, regardless of carline application. Paragon Reproductions carries both styles of elements, with correct silk-screened instructions on the rubber, for about $30 each; they also have the replacement style for $9.00.
