OK..Guys am ready to order new torque converter..Here is my setup..

355 SBC 10-8-1
23 trick flow heads
Victor Jr intake
lunati Cam [email protected] 515 Lift 108 LSA
Edelbrock 750 Mech
9" rear with 370

The car is NOT a daily driver..Car shows, track time and some weekend highway/around town cruising.......
Car weighs in at 2350lbs with driver..
Would like recommended stall speed and the name of some manufactures(Also what makes one converter better than the other)

With 3:70 gears you will be turning from 2800 to 3000 at cruse speed depending on tire size. Stay below that on the stall and when you do cruse some it will be above stall speed plus this should get you off the line good.

ATI is one of the best
What makes one better then another is more torque multiplication, less low end slippage (if you want a streetable one) while retaining a high Flash Speed.

CNC said it best, no one knows better than the t/c manufacturer.

Give your choice a call and they will help you in selecting the correct convertor.

I would shy away from GER, good prices for the budget minded, but, quality is alittle defunct. ATI is a good company, so is B&M. Might try Georgia Convertor.

Another vote for ATI. Call them, answer all the questions they ask and your done. Great convertors also.
