I have a new lens for my heater control, I am trying to replace my old one, it looks like the control's face plate needs to come off, and is held on by metal tabs, I took a flat blade screw driver to one corner, and barley put any force on it, and the tab didnít bend, but broke off. Does anyone know how to do it right?
Thanks
-John

That's what they do. Try tapping them to the side instead of prying up on them. You only need to do one side, if I remember right.

When I did mine I went to Office Max and bought a black platic folder and made a new backer for the lens. It worked great. Mine was also missing the small green lens. I had to search all over to find one.

If you want a new black piece, I made a bunch when I had to make one for myself. I'll send you one, if you need one.
