Are there any or could one take a non-power regulator, remove the crank handle mechanism, build a bracket and add the power window motor? Just looking for some new projects to create for myself LOL!!

Anyone?

Maybe someone with a Fisher body service manual could scan some internal door diagrams?

Bret I don't have my books but I think I can say the 2 are way different. The post the handle mounts on is just 1 difference. The power will need a way for the electric motor and gear drive to attach so theres another. I've seen aftermarket power kits that come with regulators as well.

Dennis, I've seen the aftermarket kits but I'd rather not spend the $600-$700 or so if I can make some mods to my current regulators.

I'm wondering if one could cut off the crank handle mechanism and build a bracket to mount the motor and be doen with it, or if there are more intricate differences such as different gearing, totally different design requirements for the regulator, where to mount the motor so it won't interfere with window operation etc.

Thanks for any input-also if anyone's got an interchange manual that list other donor cars would be great.
