18436572 is the firing order. Set the engines #1 cyl at TDC (Top Dead Center) and the rotor will be pointing where the #1 plug wire goes. Go clockwise from there following the firing order and you'll be in there. Here's how to count the cyls.

To find TDC on #1 remove the all 8 plugs so you can turn the engine over by hand. Put a 1/2" ratchet on the center bolt of the crank pully and turn clock wise. There are 2 times that the dampner timing mark will lineup with the timing tab, one is the power stroke the other is the exhaust stroke. Put your thumb over the #1 plug hole and turn the ratchet clockwise until the timing mark and indicator tab line up. If there is pressure building up on your thumb and air blows past it then you are at TDC when the mark lines up with zero on the tab. If there is no pressure you are on the exhaust stroke (exhausr valve is open and air goes out that way) and need to go around 1 more time.
