I have a LT1 in a 95 impala police car I want to put in my 68 Camaro. Does anyone have any pointers that will help. Can I use the harness out of the Impala? I put a TPI 350 from an 87 Iroc into a S-10 Blazer with a harness from Painless and It was relatively easy. The Harness for the LT1 is $600.00 from Painless wiring and I would like to find another way around it. The Impala doner car is complete with Sequential port injection and runs perfect.

I don't have the info you're looking for, but I think that if you use the forum's "search" feature you can find some info. Good luck.

I have posted several different responces on this topic on this thread, like Beast said try a search.

If you have done a Painless then you can likely handle the changes necessary to retain the Caprice harness. This is the best harness to use IMO. The electrical center that sets on the pass side under the hood has all the fuses, and relays necessary to more than do the job.

This is a good swap you will enjoy 20 MPG and good power. I have been trying to do a manual for over 2 years now, but you can email me when you get to the wiring.
