Has anyone retrofitted their accellerator hardware with a cable? If so, what did you think of it and how did you go about it?

My car was originally a 6 cyl, which uses a cable. I simply attached it to the carb on the 350 small block with no problem. I'm pretty sure both the 6 cyl cable and pedal assembly are available aftermarket.

Yup...a 6 cyl pedal rod,and instead of the 6 cyl cable I've used a LOKAR throttle cable and a LOKAR throttle cable bracket and springs...
The LOKAR stuff is a little pricey, but, are quality pieces IMO...

I'm using a accelerator pedal and arm from a mid-70's Nova, and a '69 Camaro 6cyl accel. cable. I actually prefer the cable setup to the linkage type, it's a cleaner installation and easier to adjust for full throttle. It's also very smooth working, too.

I used the Lokar setup in my 68 as well. Easy install.
