air conditioning problems

1997 camaro v-6 Not getting power to the compressor clutch checked all fuses blower works but no compressor.thanks gary

low freon therefore not closeing the low pressure switch?

blown fuse?

have you checked these conditions?

spring is coming.
AC shops run service specials,,,, USE them, Spend the $30, since you have absolutely no knowledge at this time about AC systems.

not alot to know about ac systems...not a magical land where unicorns roam and knomes play tricks on have a high pressure switch, a low pressure switch, a compressor clutch, a switch , a relay and a can het a haynes manual for 15 bucks, and follow the schematics to diagnose the electrical end of it...r-134 is redily available at the local walmart, and is the usual suspect for making the low pressure switch open and cause the compressor not to function...

On my '94 if it is low on freon it will set a trouble code and the compter needs to be reset before the compressor will be turned back on I have done this by disconnecting the battery for a short time.

that also happens on obd2 vehicles, and you cant reset the code by disconnecting the battery on them...(obd2)you can on your vehicle though...(obd1)
