astro vents

before i decide to replace the old dash vents in my 69, i was wondering if this was going to be a major project or not. any special tricks or tips that i should be aware of...thanks in advance al

Al, no trick, just some work. You must remove the glove box, dash pad, lower the steering column and take the screws out of the instrument panel (to tilt it back). This is to just get to the assemblies that hold the vents in. Make sure you check (and probably replace) the felt that keeps the vents from flopping around. Install in reverse order.

make sure you do not tighten the instrument panel screws too much or you will break or split the plastic molded screw towers.

i have not. when do they start and what night. freehold has one on thursdays during the summer. i will be at this years swap meet also in your town
