Is this intake worth $150

Guys & Gals,

Sorry I couldn't change the title. I meant to call it correct vintage 427 intake or not?? Is this what 427's used back in 1969? http://i18.ebayimg.com/06/i/000/94/1b/8c63_3.JPG

There are some nice 427 BBC's for sale near my house or within reasonable driving distance. I'm not sure if this intake will work or would be correct for a COPO/Dana/Nickey/Yenko/Baldwin Motion Car. The seller of this intake claimed it was the correct vintage intake for a 427 of 1967-1969 vintage. I have never seen an intake like that one. I thought it was the Winters Snowflake that was used on the exotics back in the day.

Bottom Line: "Is this intake correct for a 427 engine of 1967-1969 vintage?" Again, I apologize for the title. I meant to call the title what I said in " "

Re: Is this intake worth $150

That intake is a very common Edelbrock BBC Square Port intake to fit 427 's and 454's for Square Bore Carburators. Yes they were available back in the 60's and 70's but it is not a GM SnowFlake. I personally would not pay any more then $75 for a used one and it had better be in Great Shape - no striped threads, no warpage, no oxidation around thermostat ... etc. You can buy newer used Edlebrock Performer and RPM versions that are more efficient and flow better then the old C4 design for the same price on eBay.

Yep, like Ron said. And those were never 'stock'. I suspect that its' greatest value might be in the recycle bin.
