What Size Is A 67 Ss350 Temp Sending Unit???

I have a 67 SS 350 and just replaced the original motor with a 383. The new temp sending unit on the 383 does not work with my temp gauge in my console gauges (original type gauges). I want to use the old sending unit but am unsure about its size. I think it is 3/4". I also don't know what size the opening is in my Professional Products Crosswind (Airgap Clone) manifold. I also have Holley aluminum heads and don't know the size of the hole in them. I would like to know where the old unit will fit..in the manifold or in the head. Thanks!

Re: What Size Is A 67 Ss350 Temp Sending Unit???

your stock sender is 1/2" NPT, and the hole in the head is probably 3/8"NPT.
the holes in the intake should be 1/2" NPT, so the sender should fit there.
another option is to get a gauge sending unit for a late 80's pickup truck and put it in the head.

you don't plan sincerity.
you have to make it up on the spot.

wanna hear about 20 years ago when i was too smart to know any better?

Thx, Derrik. Will the resistance of a late 80's truck sending unit we be the same? Will it be accurate for my factory gauges? What year, make and model truck should I use? Thx! D

i believe all GM gauges work the same.
ask for a temp sender from an 86 or so pickup with a 350.
