New heater core - need extra water?

This may be a bit obvious, but my car didn't have a heater core or a/c previously and I just installed a Vintage Air unit. Haven't got it charged yet, but as far as the heater, do I need to add more water to my radiator to compensate for the amount that will be in the heater hose lines?

I'm thining yes, but wanted to be sure.

yeah a little. install it then start the car with th RAd cap off...add as needed...
some have installed it and run lower hose from core to engine and the use the top hose to add a little to help with release of air bubbles...

Great - I figured I would probably need to add a bit of water. Never hurts to be sure though. Thanks!
