Aftermarket A/C systems? Any good?

My 67 didn't come with AC, but I would like to install something. I see these "complete" kits for around $1200 that go behind the dash I guess. Anyone try these and is this a good choice?

Not sure if you can make an AC car if it wasn't made that way, at least not without a major rework project.

We have been selling the heck out of the new Vintage Air Gen IV kit for 67 /68. Absolutly the best system by a long shot. Blows all the others away as it is 2007 OEM quality A/C originally designed for the $200K Ford GT. One of my customers, (130FE member here) is doing a install story on his 68 here:

When your ready, contact us for a great deal.

Here is a great deal on the Classic auto Air kit. It uses Seperate heater core and AC evaporator, not a low efficiency combined unit like others do.
Also if a $10-$20 part fails down the road the unit can de disassembled and the part replaced, The others glue their cases together, so becareful on what you buy.

Cheap will get you a modified rear heat & cool for a van, very poor performance.

Re: Aftermarket A/C systems? Any good?

$985 would be a Sure Fit. You will be making a big mistake not spending a bit more and getting the new Gen IV.
