AC compressor & March pulley set

well I am finaly putting on my March pulley system 22072 in my 69 and every thing is lining up great, BUT the problem I have is my AC compressor is not fitting it is hitting the fuel pump and it is a Vintage air and they said that this compressor would work with this system, it is a 508 compressor, is there a shorter version of this pump, I have seen some of the picture that have been posted here and it worked for them but not mine can anybody help me I hate to have to buy another compressor, Vintage air will probably exchange this for the right one if ther is one and if I have to which One will work with the Vintage Air non air 69 Camaro, and if anybody has any close up pictures of the compressor area would much appreciated

Re: AC compressor & March pulley set

My Mid mount March set up is below. I also ended up having to buy the compact compressor (Sanden SD7).

Re: AC compressor & March pulley set

You have to have the compact compressor with the March mid-mount system. It will work with the VA system. Tell VA what you got and they should be able to send you all the parts you need. Also Frank at Prodigy Customs has helped me out. He is on this site also.

Yes the SD7 (compact) mounts as the 508 using the same 8mm thread. Give VA a call and they will resolve your issue.

Re: AC compressor & March pulley set

Your installation the the March/VA is exactly what I'm in the process of doing now w/ my 68. The mid-mount really looks good. I have a long water pump so I hope it will work out like your 69. Good job.
